The role of the Pastoral Council is to focus on the spiritual needs of the parish, including Religious Education, Adult Faith Formation, Lenten Soup Suppers, as well as to be a liaison with the following ministries: -Sick, Homebound & Bereavement -Social Justice The Parish Council offers consultation to the pastor regarding pastoral matters and acts as a voice for the parishioners regarding the life of the parish. This goal is fulfilled through: ~Discerning and articulating the parish mission statement ~Studying and discussing concerns of the parish in light of its mission ~Participating in the pastoral planning of the parish ~Communicating to the entire parish the work of the council ~Promoting collaboration, cooperation, and understanding among all groups in the parish
Members
Members serve a 3 year term by election and/or appointment by Pastor. The Chair and Co-Chair of the Parish Council are also members of the Parish Leadership Team.
