Pasta Dinner - Saturday before Ash Wednesday - This event is one of the two major fundraisers out parish does on an annual basis. This Mardi Gras theme event is fun for the whole family. This event has entertainment throughout the day, raffle items, a silent auction, bake sale, and of course, pasta!
Lenten Soup Suppers - Each Wednesday evening during Lent, we have a time of fellowship after the 6:00 pm Mass, with delicious homemade soups and a short program. Each week is a different speaker and topic. This event always ends with the Living Stations of the Cross, where parishioners speak on how the stations are reflected in their lives.
May Crowning - One Sunday in May we crown our mother, Mary, in the side garden.
Craft Fair - We offer a craft fair twice a year, the first Sunday in the May and November. The craft fair is free to participate, and all vendors donate 10% of their profits to the St. Francis Center in McArthur, Ohio. We are always looking for new vendors to join our fair. We would love to see this event get bigger each year, so the donation we make can make a big impact on those who need it most.
Yard Sale - This event is the other of the two major fundraisers our parish does on an annual basis. The parish yard sale is the first Saturday in June and corresponds with the Short North neighborhood yard sale. Parishioners donate their items to the church, as well as their time to help get things set up and ready to sell.
Pet Blessing - Our pet blessing usually falls on the first Saturday in October, in conjunction with the Feast of St. Francis. Parishioners and community members are invited to bring their pets for a special blessing. In years past, we have had the Columbus Police Mounted Unit here for blessings, as well as cats, dogs, rabbits, snakes, and many other animals!
Parish Potluck Picnic - Our Annual Parish Potluck Picnic is held in October. This is a great time for the Parish to celebrate with one Mass and have all our parishioners together. Our picnic is in the parish a a hall and a fun celebration for all. It's good food and excellent fellowship!
