Want to deepen your faith life?
Want to delve deeply into the upcoming Sunday readings?
Want to learn more about the historical background of each reading and then see how it relates to your life today?
Join us Wednesday evenings from 7-8 p.m. via Zoom for
Breaking Open the Word!
Our trained catechists lead each session so that you can immerse yourself in the coming Sunday's readings.
You will make connections to how these readings impact your life today and come to Mass hungry to learn more. By reading the Scriptures prayerfully and searchingly, we encounter the living Christ who calls us to an ever fuller experience of Him in the Sacraments and life of the Church.
In addition, you will meet many new friends who will
journey with you as you travel the Gospel road!

"Ignorance of Scriptures is ignorance of Christ."

"Breaking Open the Word, I feel, is one of the most critical parts of a person’s faith journey, especially when seeking to become a Catholic Christian. For me, this weekly exercise of preparing for Sunday Liturgy is a gift – each catechist’s presentation and the shared reflections of those gathered offer me a fresh perspective and insight. I’m grateful to each of you for your presence in this conversation and I hope that you will continue to enrich our sessions with your sharing."
